Hello ladies,
Living in north Florida only an hour and some change away from the beach always has its perks. I am most definitely a beach baby, although ironically I have found less time to actualy visit the beach due to my vey hectic schedule. But being the beach baby I am, summer fashion is my all time favorite season of the year. All season it is maxi dresses, gladiator sandals, and effortless beauty everywhere. One item in particular on my shopping list this upcoming season is the good ole crop top. Now, I know what you're thinking. Kristen, you are a pentecostal? Why would you wear a crop top? I'm sure if I asked my pastor if crop tops were his idea of modesty I'm sure it wouldn't be on his list but when dressed correctly they can actually be a staple peice.
Crop tops shouldn't be a way to show some extra skin but simply a way to spice up an outfit. High waisted midi skirts are so in right now and crop tops are my go to shirts when paired with them. It's perfect! A bright high waisted circle midi skirt and a lace flowy crop top and BAM your set! But we're missing the key item. Because we are the modestly beautiful Apostolics we are, those that peeping skin here or there is a NO! So the perfect solution just put a cotto cotton undershirt underneath and your set. I like to wear a an undershirt either the sane color as my skirt so it blends in a little better or just a simple black or white, according to what I'm wearing. This way no matter what you you're doing whether it be raising your hand or in the middle of worship service no peeping skin will be seen. It's a perfect way to add some spunk to your outfit and on the plus side it is very flattering on plus size women giving them an illusion of a smaller waist. Although crop tops aren't the first thing that pops into a woman's mind when she thinks of modesty I believe it's a staple piece to every modest womans closet. When dressed correctly summer time casual just got so much easier.
Hello ladies, first let me start off by saying I have a strong passion for Jesus the one true God, the Apostolic fashion, and anything DIY or beauty related. I'm 17 years Old residing in sunny Florida. Happy blogging!

In respect to my very first blog post, I decided to tell a little more about myself and why I started this blog in the first place. Well if you have read my blog description, then you probably know that I have a strong passion for Jesus Christ, the Apostolic fashion, and everything else girly and beautiful. To be honest with you, I've only been in church for a little more than a year and wasn't baptized in Jesus name and filled with the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost until about 9 months ago. Now, if you're not familiar with what I'm talking about then I will tell you I'm an Apostolic Penecostal. No, we are not the ones that hold snakes or anything like that. We simply believe in one God, Jesus, and praying in the spirit (speaking in tongues), and living completely by the holy doctrine.
I started this blog, because much like many girls, we love fashion, beauty, DIY's, and of course Pinterest, and I wanted to share my knowledge of that with you all. I wanted to specifically aim towards Apostolic Pentecostal teen girls because much like myself I know things can get rough when turning your life over to God but always remember If God is for you, who can be against you, Romans 4:11. Being a new convert to the Apostolic faith I can testify to some of the obstacles I faced during this time, but I want girls to know it's not a bad thing. Modesty is beautiful and we as young women should not feel ashamed or pressured by this world. From natural beauty remdies, to hairstyles, fashion tips, and even advice, I hope to share this journey with you all.
Feel free to be inspired!
